Mission Impossible (Project Alena) Gorm Spaabęk deltager i et internationalt projekt kaldet Mission Impossible (Project Alena) ledet af den russiske kunstner Dr. Lusine Breitscheidel. Her er hendes egen omtale af projektet:
Mission
Impossible (Project Alena): started in March 2011, as of 04th
october 2011, 141 artists (painters, photographers and
sculptors) and their children from the five continents and 81
countries (from Russia to Japan) are interconnected on this
stamp, holding photographs of my daughter Alena. Interim results
of the project were presented in St.Petersburg, Russia, during
international exhibition, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of
the Diaghilev Art Foundation, curated by Prof. Tatiana Yurieva,
the founder of the Diaghilev's Center of Arts and the director
of the Contemporary Art Museum of the St.Petersburg State
University. Funding and support of the Event has been kindly
provided by the Perlov Design Center and the Committee of
Culture of the Russian Federation. Dates of the Event: 14th -
23rd Sept. 2011, location: Design Gallery/ Bulthaup Center in
St.Petersburg, Bolshaja Konjushennaja Str.2. The ultimate objective of the Project Alena - the whole planet fitting the size of a small post stamp. One life - many people - US versus ME. People from countries not yet represented in the project results are encouraged to join the project. Remember what R. Kipling said "We be of one blood, ye and I".
